Welcome to the Vermont Council for Teacher Educators (VCTE) website!

VCTE has been in existence for over 30 years and has provided Vermont teacher educators from several higher education institutions a collaborative statewide voice in educational practice, policy, and issues of educator quality. Any institution that supports and trains teachers and provides Vermont teacher licensure for beginning teachers is eligible to be part of VCTE. VCTE member schools are unique in nature and offer teacher–education students through a diverse set of approaches, philosophies, and delivery modes to obtain educator endorsement in their field.

The purpose of this website is to provide a space for VCTE and the larger community of all Vermont teacher educators to gather and share their opinions and concerns considering educator quality and establish an independent voice that advocates what is good policy and practice for our students.
